Supplements Blood pressure is too high

I went to the doctor and they tested my blood sugar as they always do and it was normal. however my blood pressure was a different story. they had to test it like three times with three different devices because it came in really high. the top level was like 135 to 140 over 95
my doctor said that I should take blood pressure medication but I want to take supplements first. would supplements can help
